Matt Cooper is a broadcaster, journalist and author. He is the presenter and editor of the daily news and current affairs show “The Last Word” on Today FM. He also presents live GAA coverage on TV3 and its Area 22 rugby programme. A former editor of The Sunday Tribune and twice Journalist of the Year, Matt now writes weekly leader page columns for The Sunday Times and Irish Examiner. His first book, Who Really Runs Ireland? was published in 2009 and was a number one best seller. His second book How Ireland really went Bust was published in October 2011 and has been nominated for an Irish Book Award.
A graduate of UCC and DCU, Corkman Matt lives in Dublin with his wife and five children. He also chairs conferences and acts as master of ceremonies at various business events.
