
Gerard Cromwell is a freelance sports journalist from County Meath.
His first book as a ghost writer, Nicolas Roche’s biography “Inside The Peloton”, has been shortlisted for the Sports Book of the Year at the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards
Gerard has a weekly cycling column in the Irish Daily Star and has also written for most of the Irish national newspapers. Having contributed to the world’s top cycling magazines and websites over the years, Gerard also published his own cycling magazine, Irish Cycling News, for a couple of years on a part time basis.
Having cycled in the UK, France, Italy and Australia as an amateur, and been involved in cycling since he was 15, Gerard has also ghosted Nicolas Roche’s Tour De France, Giro d’Italia, Vuelta Espana and Olympic diaries in the Irish Daily Star and Irish Independent for the past five years.
