Orla Tinsley is a 21 year old from Newbridge in Co.Kildare. She has written part-time for The Irish Times since 2005, primarily on the inadequacies of treatment for cystic fibrosis patients in Ireland, and has also contributed to their Teen Times column. She published one autobiographical short story in the 2007 collection Mum’s The Word-Tales of Motherhood and is now working on a memoir about living with cystic fibrosis in Ireland. She is currently studying Ancient Greek and Roman Civilization and English in University College Dublin.
