Nicky Allt is a playwright and screenwriter from Liverpool.
He has written three hugely successful stage plays, One Night in Istanbul, Brick up the Mersey Tunnels and The Story of Liverpool Football Club, All of which enjoyed rave reviews whilst running at The Empire Theatre, Liverpool, The Bord Gais Theatre, Dublin, The Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool and The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin.
Prior to his debut as a playwright, he wrote two successful books, The Boys From the Mersey and Here we go Gathering Cups in May and has written articles for numerous men’s fashion and sports magazines and newspapers.
He recently helped produce the film adaptation of _“One Night in Istanbul” _which is due for release in September 2014.
Nicky is currently writing a new play and is set to co-produce a film about the consequences of Margaret Thatcher’s reign as UK Prime Minister on a group of Northern English people 30 years on.
He is about to tour The Story of Liverpool Football Club around the world.
