
Jim Culleton is the Artistic Director of Fishamble for which he most recently directed Handel’s Crossing aboard the Jeanie Johnston as part of the 2009 Handel Festival, The Pride of Parnell Street by Sebastian Barry (Tricycle Theatre London, Dublin Theatre Festival, National Tour, New Haven festival, Connecticut and 59E59 in New York (2009)), Rank by Robert Massey at the Civic and Helix Theatres, Dublin (for DTF 2008) and Tricycle Theatre, London, Noah and the Tower Flower by Sean McLoughlin (winner Stewart Parker Trust Award and Irish Times Theatre Awards Best New Play), Forgotten by Pat Kinevane, short plays for Whereabouts (Irish Times Theatre Award winner 2007) and Monged by Gary Duggan (Stewart Parker Trust Award winner) in Liverpool, Coventry and New York.

His productions have won and been nominated for numerous awards, including Irish Times Theatre Awards, Entertainment & Media Awards, In Dublin Theatre Awards and TMA Awards. He co-edited Contemporary Irish Monologues and edited Fishamble/Pigsback: First Plays both for New Island Books and has edited/contributed to books for Carysfort Press, Ubu and Amnesty International.
