Jeda de Brí is a Director and Writer for film and theatre. She is Artistic Director of Sickle Moon Productions.
Most recently she wrote and directed the short film Procession which was selected as part of IFB Short Stories Scheme and will premier at the Galway Film Fleadh 2018 and co-wrote and directed TRYST (Project Arts Centre, Civic Theatre, Dublin Fringe 2016 /Nominee Fishamble Best New Writing Award, Published by Oberon Books).
Other directorial credits include: GPO 1818 (Site specific show for Bicentenary of the General Post Office, Fishamble), The 24 Hour Plays (Abbey Theatre), Fighting Words (Abbey Theatre), The Egg is a Lonely Hunter (Nominated: Little Gem Award & First Fortnight Award at Dublin Fringe & First Fortnight Festival), All Honey (Dublin Fringe and Bewleys Café Theatre), Mimes in Time (Edinburgh Fringe, Tiger Dublin Fringe – Nominated: Little Gem Award), Tales From Briar Hall (Illustrated Productions), Tracer (Purple Heart) and Slice The Thief (Bitter Like a Lemon).
As a writer she has co-written all of Sickle Moon’s original work to date. Writing/Directing credits include: Trinkets (Carrickmacross Arts Festival), Spectres, Tactics and Slippers (Trilogy of plays over one year – Theatre Upstairs Company in Residence) and Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde (Theatre Upstairs)
Recent film credits include: Chimneys (Nominated: Louis le Prince Award, Leeds International Film Festival, Screened: RTÉ Shortscreen 2016) and Spacer (Nominated: Best Short, Fingal Film Fest. Screened: RTÉ Shortscreen 2017).
As an Assistant Director she has worked with David Grindley on The Heiress at The Gate Theatre, Ronan Phelan on The Effect, produced by Rough Magic at Project Arts Centre and Jim Culleton with Fishamble on the Dublin Theatre Festival show, On Blueberry Hill.
