Ray recently played Barney Bagnal in Druid’s Production of the Silver Tassie, as part of the Lincoln Center Festival 2011, New York.

Ray received the Best Male Performer Award at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2008 for his performance in Mimic, which he also wrote (subsequently touring to the Galway Arts Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Cork Midsummer Festival, Irish Arts Center, New York (2011), PS 122, New York (COIL festival 2010), the Centre Cultural Irlandais, Paris and the Electric Picnic Festival 2011, Ireland.

In 2009/2010 Ray played Blake in Druid Theatre Co.’s world tour of The Walworth Farce by Enda Walsh. Also taking various parts in the DRUID 35 year celebrations (From Galway to Broadway) (2010).

Ray’s other credits include: Danny in Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Directed by Tom Creed, Chrsyalde in The School For Wives by Moliére (version by Derek Mahon), directed by Oonagh Kearney, The Young Gentleman & The Poet in La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler directed by Tom Creed, (All Granary Theatre Productions).B in Sarah Kane’s Crave (Playgroup), Heathcliff in The Heights devised by Playgroup, Musician in Life is a Dream by Cladéron, directed by Tom Creed for Rough Magic and Senkin in a rehearsed reading of Those Yellow Boots by Maria Elner directed by Rachel West, Druid Debuts, Galway Arts Festival ’08.

Ray was chosen as one of 18 nationwide to be part of the Next Stage 2008, a Dublin Theatre Festival/ Abbey Theatre/ Theatre Forum Ireland incentive involving daily workshops with visiting international Companies, and talks with prominent industry figures such as Stephen Rea, Enda Walsh and Deborah Warner
