Michael received a full scholarship and trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London.

His recent theatre appearances include Dinny in Enda Walsh’s multi-award winning play The Walworth Farce, directed by Mikel Murfi for Druid Theatre Company on national and international tour to UK, Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand, as Vincent in Bernard Farrell’s new play Bookworms (and its recent remount) directed by Jim Culleton at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin and as Major Coffin in Arrah Na Pogue directed by Mikel Murfi at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. He appeared in Fishamble’s The End of The Road written by Gavin Kostick and directed by Louise Lowe for Temple Bar Trust, in Performance Corporation’s Slattery’s Sago Saga directed by Jo Mangan and in The Colleen Bawn at The Project Arts Centre and on tour across Ireland, directed by Jimmy Fay for Bedrock Theatre Company. Michael also recently appeared as The Judge in Roddy Doyle’s adaptation of The Government Inspector directed by Jimmy Fay at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin.
