Alison most recently appeared as Julia in The Rivals directed by Patrick Mason at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. She is from Dublin and trained at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College. Recent theatre work includes: Ibsen’s The Lady From The Sea in a new version by Frank Mc Guinness and An Enemy Of The People in a new version by Rebecca Lenkiewicz both at the Arcola Theatre, London. Also Tic a new play by Elizabeth Moynihan for Storytellers, ( Bewleys Cafe Theatre ), Terry Johnson’s Hysteria for b*spoke theatre company (Project Arts Centre – nominated Best Actress, Irish Times Awards) ; Tom Murphy’s version of The Cherry Orchard directed by Patrick Mason, The Importance of Being Earnest directed by Patrick Mason, The Colleen Bawn directed by Conall Morrison (nominated for Irish Times / ESB Best Supporting Actresss Award ) and Tom Kilroys version of Six Characters in Search of an Author directed by John Crowley (all at the Abbey Theatre). Fay Weldon’s adaptation of Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice directed by Alan Stanford, Hugh Leonard’s version of Great Expectations and Brian Friel’s Aristocrats (all at the Gate Theatre & Aristocrats also in NY ). Radio work includes The Night Manager and Haunting Women by Dermot Bolger for Radio 4, and A Midsummers Nights Dream, Loonies, The Funeral, The Importance of Being Earnest for RTE Radio 1. Alison co-founded b*spoke theatre company and has produced Electra in a version by Frank Mc Guinness, The Drunkard by Tom Murphy after WH Smith & A Gentleman, Boston Marriage by David Mamet, Family Stories by Biljana Shriblanovic, Hysteria by Terry Johnson,Tejas Verdes by Fermin Cabal, Honour by Joanna Murray Smith and The Sanctuary Lamp by Tom Murphy.
